On Saturday, August 11, I will be at The Book Cellar (17 West Main Street, Wilmington, Vermont) for a reading/signing with Lisa Papademetriou. I would love to see you all there!

I even made a Facebook event! Yes, I am Facebook-stupid and barely know how to use the thing, but I decided this would be one way to let people know about this and future events:

Don’t forget to click “Attending” on Amelia’s facebook event page for this signing.

Have fun!

A book tour? For Amelia? This Summer?!

From what we’re reading on the Nyeusigrube forum, Amelia is looking to do some touring this summer to promote Poison Tree. But she needs your help!

On March 5th, 2012, Amelia said on the forum:

I would love to do some travel this year, but I need folks out there (like you all) to push for it. The best tour I’ve ever done was set up entirely by librarians and teachers, who worked together to figure out transportation, room and board, etc. Feel free to tell any school or library you talk to that I do not charge a fee for appearances, as long as expenses are covered.

I work school-teacher hours, so I generally have some time in July and August.

Contact your local library or talk with a teacher or anyone running Young Adult book clubs to help her set up a tour.  This is “unofficial”, meaning her publisher is not in charge of it.

It is going to take a grassroots movement by the fans if we want to see her in our hometowns but it is doable.

What are you waiting for? 🙂
